Melvin Taylor Rosemont Concert reviews
U2 always delivers a great show
A great show, though not as good as the Dismantle tour a few years ago (that one would get a 5-star rating). The music sounded great. The messages of peace, tolerance, and acceptance/coexistence are ever present in their shows, and this was no exception. The band played well, and they have so much energy. I was a little disappointed because last time they were in Houston, they played at Toyota Center, which is a much nicer venue. The choice of songs was good (although I'd like to see more from War or October). The stage and lighting/effects were better there, and overall, Bono seemed a bit more energetic and ran around a lot more. The Space/Cosmos theme was interesting too. Now the great bits are: Again, I just really prefer another venue over Reliant Stadium. This time he did a bit of that, but he stayed off to Stage Right most of the time. They obviously love what they do. Very cool to see them still together after around 30 years - still sounding and looking great!
